Description

This interactive new hire orientation course, developed with Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite, introduces Freebirds World Burrito employees to the brand's history, culture, and how they contribute to Freebirds' success.


Objective

Create an interactive new hire orientation course that introduces new Freebirds World Burrito employees to the company.


The Process

To begin, the People team brainstormed the content topics:


  1. Company history, culture, and lingo

  2. Guest service and menu

  3. Benefits and career path

  4. Points of contact and how to succeed


Each topic served as a sprint for the project. Each sprint followed the following development phase steps:


  1. Research topic, define learning outcomes, and design learning interactions.

  2. Create assets using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

  3. Develop course using Articulate Storyline and Rise 360.

  4. Prototype sent to stakeholders for feedback.

  5. Revisions made and resubmitted for final approval.


After each sprint of development, I reflected upon the project. I identified what well, what went wrong, and what could be improved. For example, I converted the Career Path interaction into Storyline content which allowed new hires to dig deeper into each position that they were interested in.


The Result

An interactive and branded new hire orientation course to introduce new Freebirds employees to the brand’s history, culture, and how they fit in.
