Description
This multi-branching course, developed with Rise 360 and Adobe Creative Suite, is designed to equip Freebirds employees with the foundational knowledge and skills essential to promote the Freebirds catering program. Participants learn how to effectively engage with guests about the catering program and generate sales leads to drive business growth.
Objective
Create a multi-branch scenario course that educates employees on the details of Freebirds catering program, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively engage guests and generate sales leads.
The Process
To begin, I met with the Director of Catering to identify the course topics:
The impact a successful catering program
Catering menu and the ideal catering customer
How to generate a catering sales lead (via multi-branch scenario)
Each topic served as a sprint for the project. Each sprint followed the following development phase steps:
Research topic, define learning outcomes, and design learning interactions.
Assets created using Adobe Photoshop.
Course developed using Rise 360.
Prototype sent to stakeholders for feedback.
Revisions made and resubmitted for final approval.
When designing the multi-branching scenario, I began by gathering data on our catering customers, identifying 3 customer profiles. Then I created a concept map to outline each of the customer interaction paths, and the steps needed for each path. Once I created the concept map, I created a storyboard of the eLearning and began developing.
After each sprint of development, I reflected upon the project. I identified what well, what went wrong, and what could be improved. For example, I embedded sales statistics within the multi-branch scenario to reinforce the importance of engaging with customers and generating sales leads.
The Result
A comprehensive an interactive course that granted employees the opportunity to practice generating catering sales leads.
